St Vlad is situated in a virgin, yet untouched and undiscovered part of the Black Sea coast, which is beautifully set on the northern slopes of the Balkan range, rolling down to Cape Emine, the most eastern point of Bulgaria where the Stara Plannina mountain meets the sea.
Last but not least are the virgin beaches (4 km away), which can still be found in this part of the Black Sea coast.
Emona village is situated 3 miles away from St Vlad, just a few miles to the south of the town of Obzor. According to the legends, Emona is the birthplace of the Thracian king Rez who participated in the Thracian war. The remains of a Bulgarian medieval fortress are still visible in Emona. There is also a light house and remains of a monastery.
You have just found one of Bulgaria's best kept secrets.
